 Music is a huge part of Tommy and I's relationship. Its something we bonded over in the beginning and still connect with now.  I will be posting the lyrics to a song and what it means to me every Monday (hopefully). This is what we consider "D's song" even though it really applies to both boys but K has his "own". It may seem like a strange song, I know. Born in the middle of September, the very end of summer, that tiny little ball of squalling baby stole. my. heart. It was immediate, unrelenting love from the very first second he was born. I think any parent can attest to that moment. Its life changing and powerful. One filled with emotions and hormones and overwhelming feelings that could rip you in half if they let you. The things in life that you thought mattered and you thought you needed and to a certain extent the things you loved, they are all insignificant in comparison. No one can ever prepare you for that. No words can express. So thats it. D, my first born, stole my heart from the world and we danced and celebrated (not in high heels though).
